Having come to live in Edmonton from Australia, where road design for safety, traffic flow, efficiency , community, and cost effectiveness is superb, it is mind bending some days to drive along roads, where it’s hard to understand whether the designer has graduated from kindergarten, and why on earth our city council ever approved the the mind numbingly stupid, dangerous and inefficient traffic constructs that are scattered around our wonderful city.

Need I say any more than the level crossings down 111 Street along the South Side LRT!!! [I will – stay tuned]

Given what happened with the South Side LRT you’d have to be sure that similar stupidity is buried in the plans for the new South East LRT and we are all in for a shock when we see the result in about 4 years.
